TAMPONS!
Tampons can be very helpful if you are a very active or sporty person, most tampons have 360 degree form. which helps prevents leaks and forms to the shape of your body!
THE PROS:
They are specifically designed to be inserted into your body to soak up the menstrual blood, they can be left in your body for 6-8 hours, which is less of a hassle compared to pads. You can swim with them in, and people wont be able to smell your feminine odors (like pads).
THE CONS: The cons to using tampons is that there is a rare disease that you may be able to get if you use a tampon improperly, or leave it in for too long. That RARE disease is called T.S.S. Or, Toxic Shock Syndrome. This is very rare but really a serious condition! T.S.S. is caused by the building up of bacteria in the tampon, causing the tissue around it to be come inflamed or infected. You can prevent T.S.S. by NEVER wearing a tampon above 8 hours. If you are on a long car ride, be sure to TRY to stop at least once or twice to change the tampon.
First Time Users:
For those of you who really Like the idea of wearing tampons, but are really confused on the product im here to help! The first tampon products you may want to try is Tampax pearl Lites or Regulars (like shown in the picture above) they have leak gaurd protection and 360 degree form. Or try the Tampax pearl regulars, with PLASTIC APPLICATORS!!! You really want to use plastic applicators because they are easier to get in and down cause as much tug or pull of cardboard applicators.
How To Insert A Tampon:
Tampons can be easy to insert A. if you know what you're doing and B. If you relax your muscles. SO the first step to getting the tampon in is to get into a comfortable position, most girls sit on the toilet with their kegs spread apart; stand with one leg up on the toilet (making "U" shape); or standing up and getting into a slight squat. Then, hold the tampon grips with your thumb and middle finger (like shown in diagram below) places on the grips on the applicator tube, and your index finger on the stick. The last step is probably the hardest, but to make it extra easy DO NOT FORGET TO RELAX YOUR MUSCLES! Push your index finger towards the applicator tube (angel your tampon and fingers at a slanted angel to get into your body easier.) and just like that You'll be wearing a tampon! TADAAA!!
